The Need
- At NED University, we have special seats for people with disabilities.
- Mostly, they are students with visual impairment or mobility issues
- Currently, there are over 15 visually impaired and wheelchair dependent students, mostly in Computer Science.
- Numbers are increasing every annual intake – expected to reach 25 to 30 at a given time.
- Classes and labs are currently restricted to ground floors only for wheelchair-based students – Lack of vertical accessibility
- Lack of washrooms for the disabled.
